Picnic
When: 1 to 5 p.m., Aug. 9

Note: This park used to be named Lane Road Park. The park is bounded by Lane ROAD on the north, Mountain Rd. on the east, McCoy Rd. on the south and Woodbridge Rd. on the west.
Directions: Rt. 315 roadwork will complicate getting there. Take Reed Rd. to McCoy and turn West. Go to Mountain Rd. and turn North. The park is a long block (or two) from Reed. We're at the South Shelter House. The shelter house is closer to McCoy than it is Lane.
The club provides hamburgers, hot dogs, paper plates, etc. Bring side dishes to share.

Green Hats are needed all days.July program
Jeff Cranston gave a presentation on Thomas Jefferson, a man who appears on lots of coins. Most interesting fact: Jefferson made his living by filing nuisance law suits.Attracting youth
Tom Campbell raised an important issue at our July meeting: How can we attract kids?
Tom said, generously, that our average age is over 45. He suggested special programs for children a couple times a year. Pete Miller noted that we were never able to attract many Scouts to our merit badge programs.
I don't have any idea how to interest kids (Lord knows my own children don't collect), but it^Òs something we should probably think about.
